Simen is our intrepid travelling fly fisherman, cameraman and photographer based in Valdres. His love of fly fishing started fifteen years back in the Jotunheimen Mountains, some 1000m above sea level. Simen’s early fishing exploits were spent trekking into the remote wilderness with a small tent, basic rations and his fishing gear. There, he explored the pristine lakes and streams, honing his fly fishing skills in search of wild trout. Fishing dry and wet flies for wild mountain fish takes some beating but then, our man Frank introduced him to the Atlantic salmon of the river Lakselva (not a bad introduction!) Still an avid trout angler to this day, Simen now has the additional pleasure of fly fishing for salmon in his armoury and often accompanies Frank on his Chilean pro team adventures.
